Let me introduce you guys to Nier from the freakishly underrated title...... NieR!
I donโt know what to say other than the fact NieR is a FREAKING MASTERPIECE. Sure it doesnโt have the best graphics in the world and the gameplay is relatively simple compared to the likes of my beloved Ninja Gaiden. But having ignored this game for as long as I have out of public opinion is practically as much of a crime as how painfully overlooked NieR was to begin with.
Regardless of those aspects that most โhardcoreโ gamers would consider flaws, this game was just perfect. Likeable characters, superb voice acting, an entertaining story with great humor and an emotionally powerful story (which is extremely well-written), and has which is arguably one of the greatest original soundtracks in gaming history. Seriously. The musical scores for this game is leagues above the rest. Iโm wiling to go as far as to say it can tango toe-to-toe with Shenmueโs soundtrack!
With that said, I urge everyone to get out there and pick up a copy of NieR IMMEDIATELY. I was unsure about it at first since, again, it didnโt look as sharp as most of the other modern titles and held off from giving it a try at least. But it shattered all form of expectation Iโve had and gave me one of the most memorable gaming experiences Iโm always going to treasure. Do it, guys. You wonโt regret it
A shame we'll never get a sequel, but Accord from Drakengard 3 is heavily implied to be from the NieR world since its hinted she has a link to Devola and Popola.
As for the picture itself, it looks fantastic. The thing I like most is his shoulder pad, since I ended up skipping that when I drew Nier a few months ago. Couldn't really find a good enough reference image to see what kind of markings were on it.
