So it's been a very long time since I've last updated this here journal area, and apparently the last journal I made stated I plan on taking on commissions and would be posting more info on that the following week. Instead, it's been about over a month since the proposed date I'd shed some light on the situation. Sorry about that, school's been keeping me far too occupied

Good news is that the semester will be ending really soon, but let's not stray from the topic at hand and cut to the chase, shall we? I'll kickstart this shindig with the obligatory rules and price list.
Rules:No Ecchi/Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri - It seems a lot of artists here are into that sort of thing, but it comes to no surprise I'm not that kind of artist. If anyone requests for any work of such nature, I'll be sure to make an exit stage left if you don't mind
No fetish art - Pretty much for the same reason as above. Last thing I'd want to become is an inflation artist who gives up on creating lewd subject matter to become a professional comic book artist only to be haunted by it years later........ I'm not pointing any fingers, bro, just an example
No hate art - Now I know there are some guys out there with vendettas against other people and want a random artist to draw crud in an attempt to offend them. I want no part in such ordeals, so keep the hate to yourself or find somebody else to do the job. Racism also applies to this category. I'm all for racial humor. In fact, I make jokes like that on a daily basis I'll admit

But that's not the kind of thing I'd want my art to promote, so I'll have to pass on that.
No guro - Basically art having to do with mutilation and hacking people to pieces or some other kind of over-the-top violence. Don't get me wrong, violence at times can be some pretty cool stuff so long as it's restricted. I don't want to see some guy's brain oozing out of his skull or the inside of somebody's intestines, that's just gross. To this day, I find it odd how I'm tolerant to Mortal Kombat's violence. Ah screw it, that series is epic

Uh, but err... yeah. You get the idea <_< A-a-a-and disregard my MadWorld fanart >_>
No vulgarities In an easier way for some to understand, no curse words. Yeah, I'm one of those guys as well. We keep things classy around these parts, so moving on
Prices:$3 ~ Sketch - Just a simple sketch of any character, nothing much. But that doesn't mean I'll half-bake the quality either. A few examples of what my sketch would consist of in terms of quality.
[link] [link]$5 ~ Pencils - Much more elaborate than your typical sketch. My pencils will be constructed with a 2B wooden pencil and non-photoblue Prismacolors. You can have your choice whether or not you'd want the blue to show through or not

Not only that, you can have a choice between shading which consist of lines or tone, but you can only choose one or the other. Here's an example of a simple style of shading and a heavily toned alternative.
[link] [link]$10 ~ Inked lineart I con construct lineart from a Copic Multiliner and some various sharpie markers to get the job done. Why not do it in programs like Photoshop or SAI? Well, I want to try and create lineart that feels more organic as opposed to the machine-like quality that art programs would give me. I'm doing everything I can to get a good mastery of the medium, so this is a good example of what I've done with these tools.
[link] [link]$15 ~ B&W Marker Rendering - Yes, I can also do marker renderings too : D But unfortunately, I've never used colored markers before, so I want to get a hang of those first before I jump into that department. I use Copic markers for rendering and it's been a long time since I've last done it. I'm confident I still got it, but I may have to practice a bit with those for extra reassurance. Here's an example of what I've done with markers. KEEP IN MIND that the drawings themselves were traced from actual photos with a Copic multiliner. I've done the marker rendering myself
[link] [link]$20 ~ Colored Penciled Piece - If I'm gonna commission anything in color, then it will be done traditionally with colored pencils. For very personal reasons, I can't do digital commissions as much as I would like to do so. But hey, my traditional coloring skills aren't crap, so that's a plus

I use Prismacolor pencils for these, and of course, here are the examples. The last two are mega old by the way
[link] [link] [link]Additional Price info:+$2 ~ Full body - What you'll get before would be a usual head to waist shot, but for a couple extra bucks, I could bump it up to a full-body piece! Yes, this seems like a typical underhanded "downloadable content" tactic, but I'm a poor artist here. I gotta live too, y'know?
+$5 ~ Extra character - And this is where said "underhanded tactic" is totally legit. It is quite a handful of extra work, but I'll try not to make the extra art look like a big turd while I'm at it XD
+$5 ~ Background - Oh backgrounds, how I dread thee~. But hey, so long as I get some compensation for that, I can't really complain, right? <.<
These plans aren't entirely set in stone as of yet. Before I finalize things, I need some feedback on whether or not this stuff isn't overpriced or anything. Last thing I want is to not provide enough bang for your buck due to laziness or some crud like that

As you can tell, I still don't think I'm good enough to get paid for my art yet, but I'll never know unless I try. With that said, this journal officially comes to a close. Some input would be VERY much appreciated. I really need this, so I want everything to be just right before I jump into the world of freelance illustrating for the very first time. Thanks in advance for any useful feedback or an offer for a commission in the future. This is Ghost signing out. Arrivederci~
